Maintenance & Support
Practical website care with a defined scope, clear monthly pricing and support arrangements agreed before the plan starts.
Know what is covered after launch.
Maintenance should be understandable. The right arrangement depends on the platform, complexity, update frequency and systems behind your website. We agree the tasks, access requirements and response arrangements in writing, and distinguish routine care from new development.
Your written proposal defines the final deliverables, review rounds, schedule and exclusions.
A clear support agreement.
Use this as a starting point for your brief. The final scope is tailored to your project.
- Initial scope review
- A check of the platform, existing access and support needs before agreeing a plan.
- Agreed routine tasks
- Updates, small fixes or content changes included only to the extent listed in your maintenance agreement.
- Backup arrangements
- Clarification of who handles backups, what is covered and how restoration would be requested.
- Issue reporting
- A named contact route and agreed response arrangements. Continuous monitoring and emergency cover are not assumed.
- Change boundaries
- New pages, redesigns, integrations and larger features are treated as additional development unless included.
- Account responsibilities
- Clear ownership of hosting, domains, licences and third-party subscriptions, including who renews each service.
Choose the level of care.
The best option depends on what you need to manage, the features you require and the ongoing costs you are comfortable with.
Agree the plan before support starts.
Start with access, responsibilities and a defined list of tasks. Any remedial work or additional development is scoped before it is carried out.
Discuss your requirementsReview the website
Identify its platform, existing issues, access requirements and third-party dependencies.
Define the support
Agree the tasks, limits, schedule, response arrangements and backup responsibilities.
Maintain & review
Carry out the agreed care, record additional requests and review the scope as your website changes.
Before you get started.
A few practical answers to help you plan the next step.
Does maintenance include hosting or a domain?
Not automatically. Hosting, domains, premium plugins and third-party subscriptions are listed separately unless explicitly included in the written plan.
Is support available 24/7?
Round-the-clock support is not part of the standard assumption. Support hours, response targets and any emergency arrangements must be agreed in your plan.
Can you maintain a website built by someone else?
We can review it first. Platform access, code quality, hosting and existing issues affect whether support is suitable and what work is needed before a plan starts.
Tell us what you need to build.
Start with your goals, a rough scope and a budget. We can work through the platform and payment options together.
